... mein hase hatte seine -mumps, masern, roeteln- impfung bekommen und nach 5 tagen auch prompt ein fieber, allgemeines krank fuehlen und zur kroenung noch diese wunderbare maserung ... ist zum glueck schon wieder am abheilen und war eigentlich auch nur ein tag in voller bluehte, trotdem ausreichend um das allgemeine gleichgewicht im unserem heim etwas aufzuwuehlen.

house bound in february
SNOW - enough to get tiered of it. too cold and too much snow on the roads to walk with the stroller, we spend most of February stuck in the house.
SCHNEE - Schnee - schnee ... genug das man es leid wird. zu kalt und zu viel schnee am strassenrand um mit dem kinderwagen spazieren zu gehen, haben wir den groessten teil des februars im haus verbracht.

... ausreichend gelegenheit um dummheiten auszuhecken

... hold on! this is the fast speed ICE-train (intercity express) between kai's and the dining room
... festhalten - dies ist der ICE zwischen kai's- und dem esszimmer
... and back again for reduced fare

... next trip is a freight carrier

snippits from germany - part 2
... this will finally put a check mark behind the task of posting pictures from our trip to germany (yes i realize that it is more than two months ago since we returned) and i can move on to more recent happenings ... so here they are - enjoy
... hiermit werde ich nun endlich einen haken hinter mein vorhaben, fotos von dtl. zu zeigen, setzen koennen und mich aktuelleren geschehen widmen koennen. (... und ja, ich bin mir durchaus bewusst, dass es mitlerweile ueber zwei monate her ist das wir wieder zu hause sind)

... erfurt is our favorite town for christmas markets ... the ambiance, the stands, and the pretzels here are the best
... den erfurter weihnachtsmarkt moegen wir am liebsten ... die ambiente, staende und brezeln sind hier am besten
... kai loved to watch the mary-go-a rounds at the christmas markets
... kai hat den karussels auf den weihnachtsmaerkten mit vorliebe zugesehen
... a co-worker of my mom brought these walnuts for kai ... kai found they were great to play with, and we found that they tasted great as well
... ein mitarbeiter meiner mami brachte diese walnuesse fuer kai ... kai fand sie klasse zum spielen und wir fanden, dass sie zudem auch noch sehr gut geschmeckt haben
... working on his motor skills - put into the hole and turn-
... kai uebt seine motorik - reinstecken und umdrehen-
... at the dinner table
... am abendbrottisch
... kai found german bread so tasty that he started to work on the hard bread we had set aside to feed the ducks at the park with
... kai hat das brot in dtl. so gut geschmeckt, dass er sich sogar an das harte brot das wir fuer die enten im stadtpark zur seite getan hatten machte
... oh what fun we had ... and then i realized that it is probably not a good idea to show kai how to put a cork in your mouth for play ... live and learn!
... oh was hatten wir ein spass damit, und dann wurde mir bewusst, das es wohl keine gute idee von mir war, kai vorzumachen ein korken in den mund zu stecken ... hach, die gefahren die sich hinter harmlosen spass verstecken!
... we say good bye with the 'sandman' ... kai is rather taken by the tv, since he doesn't get to watch it at home
... und wir verabschieden uns mit dem sandmann ... kai zeigt sich fasziniert vom fernseher, da er das fernsehen von zu hause nicht kennt
